Sixaxis 64 Driver
So after googling I ve found one of the most requested things around many PS3 boards, a 64-Bit driver for the Sixaxis/DS3. It does require that you disable driver signing but I believe that it is worth it. and I know I m not going to get any malicious driver on my system anyway
I ve tested and this works on Windows 7 RC x64
Sony PlayStation 3 Sixaxis DualShock 3 64-bit Driver Install guide
By RichB93 of Hax Network
DISCLAMIER: THIS PROCEDURE REQUIRES DISABLING THE DRIVER SIGNING FEATURE OF WINDOWS WHICH WILL PUT YOUR COMPUTER AT A GREATER RISK OF BEING INFECTED WITH MALICIOUS DEVICE DRIVERS. USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
If you are generally careful with the drivers you install anyway this shouldn t be a problem
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Download the driver pack here.
2. Using the USB lead, connect your Sixaxis/DS3 controller to your PC. Wait for the default Windows driver to install.
3. Locate the controller in Device Manager. DO NOT SELECT THE HID-compliant game controller DEVICE AS THIS IS NOT THE CORRECT ONE The controller you are looking for is listed as a USB Input Device and has the Hardware Ids shown below. To check the Hardware Ids, right click on the device and select Properties. Then under the Details tab choose Hardware Ids from the Property dropdown box.
4. When you have chosen the right USB Input Device go to the Driver tab and Update Driver. Browse my computer for driver software and then choose the Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer. Press the Have Disk button and locate where you placed the drivers. When you have found the folder, choose the sixds3 file and click Open.
5. Click the Next button, ignoring any warnings you may receive about the driver being unsigned.
6. Load the Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider and Enable Test Mode then click Next. You will then see this.
7. Click the Sign a System File option and then click Next.
8. Type C: Windows System32 Drivers MijUfilt.sys into the box so it looks like this and press OK. If you have installed Windows to a different hard drive, substitute the drive letter in
9. Remove the controller from the USB socket and reboot. Connect the controller when it has rebooted and it should work. Enjoy.
OTHER APPLICATIONS INCLUDED
I have included other applications in this package which have been pre-configured for use with this driver. These are:
XInput Emulator Makes your controller appear to games as a Xbox360 controller; useful considering most new games support the Xbox360 controller out of the box.
JoyToKey An application that allows you to map buttons and axes on a game controller to a key, mouse button or mouse movement. The pre-configured configuration is configured as follows:
D-Pad Up - Up Arrow
D-Pad Down - Down Arrow
D-Pad Left - Left Arrow
D-Pad Right - Right Arrow
Left Analog - Mouse Control
Right Analog - Scroll Wheel Control
R3 - Middle Click Scroll Wheel Click
Select - Esc
Start - Enter
PS Button - Starts Task Manager Ctrl Shift Esc
Cross - Left Click
Circle - Right Click
Triangle - Paste
Square - Copy
L1 - Back in Windows Explorer and Web browser
R1 - Foward in Windows Explorer and Web browser
L2 - Windows Flip Windows Key Tab
R2 Unassigned
For more information on the included software, see the readme files included in the archive.
Updated drivers from the author available HERE. I haven t tested these yet however. Same installation method applies however may need to sign a different file name

Yep, I tried to submit this to news the other day.
You forgot to mention that it also supports the Sixasis motion sensors.

been trying for hours now, theres no chance to get the driver working. i reinstalled everything, but theres still the code 39 that says the driver is corrupt and prevents it from loading. i am out of ideas

i did exactly follow the tutorial, step by step. still code 39..
Thank you very much, we waited ages for that driver.
Very comprehensive tutorial as well. Had no problems on Win 7 64bit, only had to press the PS3-button after re-plugging the USB to get it working.
Thanks again and keep up the good work.
After successfully installing and using the controller as described above, I plugged it into a different USB port. Windows 7 then installed it s own standard drivers and I had to do the same procedure again for the new port. Is there a way around this. No problem if not, I m just curious.
First Off, thanks for the driver. I can t get it to work. When I locate the driver it says that it is the best driver.
so what you can do with the sixaxis on windows.

You can use the controller to play games as well as use it for cursor and keyboard control.
We have tested PS3 Sixaxis Driver 32bit 0.7.0000 against malware with several different programs. We certify that this program is clean of viruses, malware and trojans.
